This course offers an excellent opportunity to explore and develop a wide range of equine subjects. The course offers different activities including related industry visits, expert guest speakers and live demonstrations. This range of enrichment, along with the variety of units, helps to prepare you for university-level study or employment within the equine industry.
Our students are offered guidance to train and take the British Horse Society (BHS) exams. Brinsbury’s Equine Centre is an approved BHS ‘where to train’ and exam centre.
FURTHER INFORMATION
Minimum of 5 GCSE’s including Maths; English and Science at grade 4 or above OR Level 2 qualification in Horse Care gained at ‘Merit or Distinction’ with either maths or English GCSE at grade 4 or above. Appropriate experience/knowledge gained in related equine working environment.
The successful completion of this course can lead to progression onto the Advanced Technical Extended Diploma in Equine Management or employment opportunities within the Equine Industry and apprenticeships.
The qualification will be gained through practical and theory synoptic assessments, written exams and including the option of taking riding assessments or unit assignments depending on your requirements. The qualification will also require the completion of internal and external equine related work experience.
