COURSE OVERVIEW
This course offers an excellent opportunity to explore and develop a wide range of equine subjects. The course offers different activities including related visits, guest speakers and demonstrations. The enrichment, along with the variety of units, helps to prepare students for employment within the equine industry or higher education. Students are also offered guidance to train and take BHS exams as Brinsbury equine Centre is an approved BHS ‘where to train’ and exam centre.
FURTHER INFORMATION
Minimum of 5 GCSE’s including Maths; English and Science at grade 4 or above OR Level 2 qualification in Horse Care gained at ‘Merit or Distinction’ with either maths or English GCSE at grade 4 or above. Appropriate experience/knowledge gained in related equine working environment.
The successful completion of this course can lead to progression onto the Advanced Technical Extended Diploma in Equine Management or employment opportunities within the Equine Industry and apprenticeships.
The qualification will be gained through practical and theory synoptic assessments, written exams and including the option of taking riding assessments or unit assignments depending on your requirements. The qualification will also require the completion of internal and external equine related work experience.

Application Review Meeting
Before offering you a place at college, we’ll meet with you (either in person, by telephone or online). We’ll send you a link to our booking page where you can select a time that’s convenient for you.
Accept Your Place
Offers will be sent to you via the email address you have provided. The offer will be conditional, based on predicted GCSE grades. You’ll need to accept your offer within 14 days to secure your place.

Once you receive your GCSE results, you’ll need to get in touch with the college to inform us of them and start your enrolment process.
