Brinsbury students to host charity event for Racehorse Sanctuary
A group of Brinsbury College students are hosting a charity event this November in aid of rehoming racehorses.
The college will host an equine table top event on Friday 24 November, from 5.30pm until 8.30pm, in order to raise funds for The Racehorse Sanctuary, a charitable organisation in Pulborough which aimed at giving horses a safe new home after spending many years racing.
Brinsbury College lecturer, Brittany Cotton said: “I am extremely proud of our students and seeing this event come to life is just wonderful.
“Events like these are crucial for not only our student’s development but also to raise funds for the animal sanctuary’s, which need that extra bit of support.”
The Racehorse Sanctuary has 13 horses at Mulsey and four horses due to be re-homed as riding horses after going through a rehabilitation programme.
A spokesperson from The Racehorse Sanctuary said: “The Racehorse Sanctuary is delighted to have a working relationship with Brinsbury College. We are very much looking forward to attending the table top sale on Friday 24 November, and thank all the students involved for donating the proceeds to us.”Tables are £5 with an extra £1 per entry per person.
