COURSE OVERVIEW
This Course will enable you to be a Qualified Professional Dog Groomer , recognised by the Industry.
You will gain the practical skills and knowledge that are important for working as a professional Dog Groomer. You could be a self-employer, work for a business or franchise, it could be based in a salon or a mobile unit.
You could also progress to further learning and training in this area.
The course is delivered one day per week for 40 weeks.

Achievement of the Level 2 City and Guilds Cert. Dog Grooming Assistants course at either Pass/Merit/Dist .
Attendance at an Interview with a Level 3 Course Leader, and completion of two Taster Days .
Students aged 19 years and above will find this course flexible to fit around current employment or home life being delivered one day a week for 40 weeks.
Students aged 16 -18 are required to have GCSE English and maths at C grade or above. In addition to this if you are under 19 years of age you will need to be in employment for 20 hours or more per week alongside your course.
Working in Industry as Qualified groomer , employed or self-employed. From this qualification you could go onto a Higher level of Qualification such as ICMG/HD.
Formative, Summative and Practical Assessments of all Units.
You will be set tasks to complete at home on a weekly basis, which forms a portfolio of evidence.
Compulsory supplement fee of £350 for supply of a student kit. Details of the contents of the kit will be provided upon interview.
