- Build confidence through guided practical tasks and supportive tutor instruction.
- Develop foundational horse-care routines including grooming, yard work and welfare tasks.
- Engage in enrichment such as specialist facility visits and personal equine projects.
- Produce assignments, presentations and practical evidence for a full skills portfolio.
Progression to Level 2 Equine Care or other equine pathways including coaching, riding or yard-based skills development.
Assessed mainly via written assignments, practical assessments, posters, presentations, projects and occasional short tests.
