Ugene’s golden goodbye

Brinsbury College’s award-winning Jacob Sheep have added another title to their bulging trophy cabinet.

Recently the sheep were entered into a fleece competition, which saw Ugene – one of our shearling rams – take first place and go on to be named reserve champion.

Vicki Warland, a Brinsbury College animal care instructor, said: “The win was one of Ugene’s last hoorah’s at the college, as he has now moved on to pastures new at his forever home.

“Ugene has been a well-loved member of our Brinsbury family, and it’s great to see him go out with another ribbon to add to his collection!

“We have a new Jacob ram, Crumpet, who has been settling in well and will soon go in with our ewes – we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for lambs in January 2022.”
