City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in the Safe use of Brush Cutters and Trimmers
COURSE OVERVIEW
This covers the use of brush cutters or trimmers, covering pre-use checks and maintenance, identification of controls and instruments and operating the machine to cut or trim.
Our two-day novice training course is for anyone employed in the agriculture, horticulture, landscaping, and grounds maintenance industries who currently operates, or will be required to operate a brushcutter/trimmer. This course is physical so you must be fit and able to carry out the tasks required in the course programme.

The qualification is aimed at those who use brush-cutters or trimmers as part of their work, either in horticulture, arboriculture or forestry.
This qualification will support progression into employment where operating machinery is part of the role. Safe operational skills are key to efficient use, good working practice and preventing accidents, leading to business benefits in terms of less machinery damage and down time
A Practical Test and 1-1 questioning with an assessor
