Level 2

City & Guilds Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Pesticides – PA1 & PA6

COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is suitable for those working as spray operators within their own industry. Training is a legal requirement. Use of pesticides is governed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 1999 (COSHH), the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) and the Food and Environmental Protection Act 1985 (FEPA). The regulations require employers to ensure that only employees who have received appropriate training in their safe use apply pesticides. If you are self-employed, the regulations still apply.

This course enables students to prepare and use hand held pesticides applicators. Including nozzle selection, calibration and safe operation. It is delivered through both practical and theory sessions.
