Brinsbury Campus

With extensive specialist facilities, real-world learning opportunities and a stunning rural setting, Brinsbury College offers a unique college experience that prepares students for their next steps.

Brinsbury students also have access to all the facilities that are based within our Chichester Campus – including the learning resource centres, fitness gym, hair salon, beauty salon and other eateries.

570-Acre Land-Based Campus

Set within 570 acres on the edge of the South Downs National Park, Brinsbury College offers a unique learning environment dedicated to agriculture, animal management, equine, horticulture and environmental studies. Students benefit from hands-on learning in real working environments every day.

Animal Management & Veterinary Facilities

Our purpose-built Animal Management Centre is home to a wide range of species, including reptiles, amphibians, exotic mammals, alpacas, goats, sheep and donkeys. Students gain practical experience in animal care, while specialist veterinary nursing facilities, including consulting rooms and operating theatre spaces, replicate professional practice and help develop industry-relevant skills.

Distinguished Dogs Grooming Parlour

Open to the public, our commercial dog grooming salon gives students valuable experience working with real clients while developing professional grooming, customer service and business skills.

Equine, Agriculture & Countryside Training

Our British Horse Society-approved Equine Centre features extensive stabling and indoor and outdoor all-weather arenas, providing outstanding practical learning opportunities. Across the wider campus, students studying agriculture, forestry, countryside management and environmental subjects develop skills within natural landscapes and real industry settings.

The working farm includes a bespoke agricultural teaching centre, state-of-the-art milking parlour, award-winning dairy herd and advanced farming technologies such as cattle handling systems, body condition cameras, microchip scanners and a realistic tractor simulator.

Innovation & Specialist Facilities

Brinsbury is helping shape the future of land-based industries through pioneering 5G and smart agriculture projects, giving students insight into emerging technologies, automation and data-driven farming practices.

Students also benefit from a well-equipped Library and Learning Resource Centre, alongside a modern forge that combines traditional blacksmithing techniques with contemporary technology, providing specialist training in a unique learning environment.

Our Library

Civil Engineering Training Centre

Brinsbury College is supporting the development of a new Civil Engineering Training Centre, providing specialist training and industry-relevant skills for careers in infrastructure, construction and engineering. From 2027/28, planned provision includes Groundworker and Highways Maintenance Skilled Operative apprenticeships, alongside Level 1 Construction and Civil Engineering Services and Level 2 Plant Operations (Groundworks) qualifications.

Forge

Our state-of-the-art forge combines cutting edge technology with traditional tools, ensuring our blacksmith and farriery students will be able to learn using a variety of techniques. It’s home to a range of facilities, including coke, ceramic chip and gas forges – as well as a welding facility and power hammer.

Parking

Brinsbury College has limited parking on site, and spaces are in high demand – particularly during term-times.

From September 2021, an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system will be in operation at the college, and you will need to pre-register your car registration to obtain an E-Permit.

Sussex Restaurant

Brinsbury Campus has a newly refurbished eatery named Sussex Restaurant, offering breakfast and lunch for all students and visitors.

At Sussex Restaurants, we provide a wide range of foods across the week using fresh and sustainable sourced ingredients. Our food concepts offer a variety of cuisines from around the world including Mexico Kitchen, Tandoori Club, Gustoso Italian Pasta and more.

We also have a Costa Coffee on-site for hot drinks and snacks. Our coffee is Fairtrade & Rainforest Alliance Certified, and we serve freshly made Costa coffee daily with a variety of milk alternatives and flavours to meet and personalise our customers’ coffee.

We will encourage students to eat well through our wellbeing focus. We know from research that a healthy lifestyle with the right nutrients has an impact on everyone’s mood, health, behaviour and ability to concentrate during the day. Our menus are nutritionally balanced, and encourage students to make balanced choices and choose a healthier lifestyle now and into the future.
