Sun shines on Brinsbury Show & Country Fayre

9 July 2024

There was plenty of enjoyment and laughter to go around at this year’s Brinsbury Show & Country Fayre.

It was a day packed with activities, as visitors enjoyed action-packed events at the show on Saturday 28 June.

It proved to be fun for all the family! Chloe Shepard said: “It’s been a wonderful day in the sunshine, we’ve said hello to loads of animals, and we’re planning to get some fresh food later.

“It’s been great to meet the staff, who’ve been so helpful as we’ve been walking around. We can’t wait to come back next year!”

Michael, who visited along with his daughter, added: “It’s been absolutely brilliant, everyone’s been so helpful. Everything is also close by and has easy access, we’ve really enjoyed it”.

Activities on offer ranged from horse grooming, to meets and feeds with pigs and alpacas, tractor rides, the opportunity to go up on a crane, and even chainsaw carving.

The day also featured the return of the always popular dog show and terrier racing, and there was a chance to meet a wide range of birds, insects and reptiles at the college’s animal centre.

Sally Challis-Manning MBE, Principal of Brinsbury College, said: “The day is a true testament to our community spirit and the dedication of our staff and students.

“Seeing so many smiling faces and families enjoying the day makes all the hard work worthwhile.

“This event showcases the vibrant life and learning at Brinsbury, and we are thrilled to welcome everyone back next year for even more fun and excitement.”
