Upholstery Recreation Course

COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is designed to make learning fun and interesting with flexibility to allow you to work on your personal project from home.

Bring along your own projects to work on and learn in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. See your fellow students’; projects, get inspiration, and learn from them as well.

The course is suitable for all levels from complete beginners to advanced students and covers both traditional and modern upholstery techniques. Beginners can bring a variety of small projects from home such as footstools, piano stools, ottomans, and small chairs.

You will be in an interdisciplinary environment with other people who are working on their projects -; it is an interactive and engaging learning environment where you can learn in collaboration with your tutor and others in the class.

As you develop, or for the student with some prior experience, more complex items such as a nursing chair, cocktail chair, armchair or small chaise longue could be undertaken.

Before commencing this course, you will be required to have a discussion with your tutor to help in determining the suitability of the item/s that you would like to complete.

Unfortunately, we are unable to store pieces of furniture. You will be required to bring and take away with you the piece of furniture each week.

Tuesday 1.15pm-4.15pm (dates to be confirmed)
